Lumio, SMART Technologies’ cloud-based learning platform, has added a new feature to its Spark plan: AI Assist. This tool is designed to save teachers time and elevate student engagement by generating quiz-based activities and assessments with the help of AI. AI Assist creates high-quality quiz questions at various difficulty levels, allowing teachers to focus more on instruction and less on quiz creation.

AI Assist supports four interactive quiz-based activities:

• Response: A versatile tool for formative assessment where students complete quizzes individually on their own devices.
• Monster Quiz and Team Quiz: Game-based activities that promote collaboration and competition as students work in teams to answer questions.
• Game Show: A front-of-class experience that transforms quizzes into an interactive game show, ideal for review sessions and full-class participation.
• Speedup: A fast-paced, front-of-classroom race where students compete to answer questions quickly, with the first car to cross the finish line declared the winner.
