Smart Building Conference @ ISE 2014: Early-Bird Registration Ends Soon!

smartbuilding-0114After drawing over 150 delegates and global media attention to its first two events, the Smart Building Conference will return to Amsterdam on the eve of ISE 2014. Repeating the successful twin-track formula of the London 2013 Conference, allowing delegates to focus on either residential or commercial building, the Amsterdam event will help to make the Smart Building dream a reality by encouraging different industries to work together, integrating the various technologies that make buildings smart.

A stellar line-up of speakers for the Amsterdam event has been announced, covering a wide range of competencies including energy management, market research, building design and IT network technologies, among others.

The conference’s keynote address will be given by Jim Sinopoli, managing principal of Smart Buildings LLC, which provides engineering and consulting services for the design and operation of integrated building technology systems. Sinopoli has designed and engineered operationally efficient, intuitive and sustainable buildings through an integrated design matrix of building systems and technology, and his design work can be found in many building types throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Africa.

Sinopoli has spoken on numerous occasions at conferences and seminars focusing on building management and technology systems and has written for industry publications worldwide. His most recent book is titled “Smart Buildings Systems for Architects, Owners and Builders.”

One of the highlights on the commercial track will be “Big Data, Analytics and the Internet of Buildings,” presented by Sudhi Sinha from Johnson Controls. Also on the commercial track is ‘Integrators Seek Differentiation in Smart Building Market,” presented by Sam Grinter, a market analyst with IHS. Grinter’s research has focused on service and solution trends in building automation and the wider intelligent building market.

Meanwhile on the residential track, Jeremy Peterson, general manager of Honeywell EMEA’s Connected Homes division, will talk about “The Future of Connected Homes.” In his previous role at Honeywell, Peterson co-led the Connected Home programme in the company’s American offices and was responsible for launching its connected strategy. Residential energy matters will be tackled in a session given by René Balvers, CEO of Flexicontrol and serial entrepreneur in the field of smart electronics, entitled “Home Energy Management: Smart Users Behave Smart and Demand Smart Homes.”

The Smart Building Conference will take place at the Amsterdam RAI on Mon., Feb. 3 Early-Bird pricing is available until Tues., Jan. 14 with further discounts available for CEDIA and InfoComm members, meaning that delegates can register for the full day for as little as €125 + VAT.
