Behind the Stand at ISE 2025: An Interview With Skyworth’s Jackson Zhu

THIS IS A PROMOTED POST

Behind the Stand ISE 2025 Skyworth

Welcome to this series highlighting some of the manufacturers and brands that will be featured on the show floor at ISE 2025. As we gear up for the event, we wanted to share a preview of what these companies are bringing to the table — from new products to insights about their focus for the show. These conversations offer a closer look at what you can expect and a chance to get to know the people behind the brands before the doors open in Barcelona. This interview is with Jackson Zhu, Skyworth’s head of overseas business.

Q: Why is Skyworth exhibiting at ISE this year?

A: ISE, being one of Europe’s largest industry expos, has witnessed our German proprietary brand, METZ, actively participating since 2023, achieving remarkable business expansion results. In light of this, we plan to further increase our investment in the ISE exhibition in 2025 to maintain our momentum of business growth.

At the 2024 ISE, Skyworth and METZ shared a booth. By 2025, not only will we expand our booth space, but we will also add a new Skyworth ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) booth to showcase our product and technology strength more comprehensively.

Skyworth has always valued the development of overseas markets and continues to increase funding to deeply cultivate local markets. Currently, we have established a manufacturing base in Germany to provide high-quality products for the European market. Additionally, we plan to launch a Polish manufacturing base in the first quarter of 2025, dedicated to producing Display products. This will achieve true EU local assembly, further enhancing the competitiveness of our products and providing more convenient and efficient services for our customers.

Q: What trends do you think we’ll see on the show floor and how is your company positioned to capitalize on these opportunities?

A:Technological advancements have primarily focused on enhancing motherboard performance, display capabilities and energy consumption control. Additionally, significant progress has been made in software, including the introduction of Google’s EDLA certification, Chrome certification, as well as collaboration software certifications for Teams and Zoom, along with the latest AI functionalities.

Skyworth continues to increase its investment in research and development for both software and hardware. We actively engage in technical exchanges and integrations with leading industry suppliers. At this exhibition, Skyworth will showcase our unique products and technologies that set us apart in the industry.

Q: What new products or solutions are you showcasing at ISE and how do they address current industry challenges?

A: From 2024 to 2025, on a broader trend, the global economic environment is not favorable, and industry technologies are accelerating their iteration. This means that customers will demand more extreme product requirements, seek higher cost-effectiveness, expect more advanced technologies, and return to more practical functions. The most core and frequently used function of IFPD (Interactive Flat Panel Display) products is screen viewing. Therefore, our team has invested six months, drawing on a multitude of related technologies, and after repeated testing and validation, we finally launched the industry-leading display technology fusion solutions for IFPDs — QLED+Local-dimming and QLED+MINI-LED, which are 6 to 12 months ahead of the industry in terms of technology. In addition, on the software front, apart from EDLA models and high-performance models, this time we are also introducing the Android 15 Beta system, the Flex version of Chrome OS, and the Chrome Celeron version, which was just premiered by our strategic partner Mirratouch in January.

Q: How is your company expanding its global presence besides exhibiting at ISE 2025?

A: Skyworth continues to expand its global market, with a particular focus on deepening its presence in Europe. By establishing a manufacturing base in Germany, we ensure the supply of high-quality localized products for our European customers. In the first quarter of 2025, we plan to launch a new manufacturing base in Poland, dedicated to the production of display products. This will enable local assembly within the EU, further improving our competitiveness.Additionally, we will enhance our global market influence through continuous technological innovation, increased brand promotion, and participation in more international exhibitions. Strengthening collaboration with global strategic partners and expanding international channels will be key to enhancing brand recognition and increasing market share.

Q: Why should ISE 2025 attendees visit your booth?

A: Currently, the industry is embarking on a widespread exploration and adoption of genuine QLED technology and Local-Dimming technology, as evidenced by the exhibits at this year’s show. When assessing the performance of these two technologies, apart from image quality, it is also essential to consider the number of backlight zones and energy-saving efficiency. The integrated technologies showcased by Skyworth not only deliver 105% NTSC picture quality but also excel in zoning, with a range from a minimum of 980 zones to a maximum of 2000 zones, whereas current industry standards for local-dimming typically top out at less than 200 zones. When playing the same video clip, Skyworth’s integrated solution can reduce dynamic power consumption by up to nearly 50%.

At this exhibition, Skyworth and METZ are eager to engage in discussions with all customers about future display technology solutions, accelerating the transformation of customers’ ideas into reality.
