Simple Control has announced that its popular Roomie app for control of AV gear and smart home devices has been upgraded to include new technology and repackaged as Simple Control.

Simple Control is an app-based system for control of home theater and home automation devices. This iOS app uses Wi-Fi to control devices such as TVs, cable/satellite boxes, receivers, Blu-ray players, lights and thermostats. Their complete new Simple Control system also includes Simple Sync system management software that runs on its companion Simple Hub, providing advanced features such as remote access, and adapters that allow control of older AV devices.

Along with the announcement of its new brand name and system enhancements, Simple Control also announced the launch of a new website. The company’s new website is designed to offer extensive support for Simple Control users with detailed compatibility information, a knowledge base and a user forum. Also announced today is their entry into the custom AV retail sales channel.

The Simple Control system operates thousands of devices like TVs, cable and satellite boxes, receivers, Blu-ray players, lights, switches, thermostats and more. The system integrates interactive second-screen media guides and allows control of everything in the home from a phone or tablet.
