SiliconCore Technology says that it will debut a 1.9-millimeter pitch LED at InfoComm for indoor applications. Using a “low power” LED Driver integrated circuit developed by SiliconCore itself, the company claims the product can drive up to 128 RGB (Red-Green-Blue) LED pixels (thus equaling 177 pixels per square inch). SiliconCore also says it offers ghost image elimination, true 16-bit color, drastic reduction of EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) emissions and scan refresh rates of up to 16 KHz. SiliconCore has patents pending in both the U.S. and China on the key technologies developed for the fine pitch panel.
