Shure Brought the Innovation Roadshow to Charlotte — Here’s What I Saw
Shure’s Innovation Roadshow made a stop in Charlotte this week, and obviously, I had to check it out. The visit was part of Shure’s 100th anniversary celebration, and they brought along a few of their latest collaboration solutions for some hands-on demos.
The day kicked off with a short session highlighting the company’s legacy and walking us through how these new solutions are designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s meeting and presentation spaces.
From there, we had the chance to check out five demo stations, each showcasing a different solution set.
Here’s a peek at what was on display:
MXA902 + ANIUSB Bundle
This setup includes a ceiling mic with a built-in speaker and DSP, which handles pickup and playback all in one. The ANIUSB lets you connect it to a computer for use with video calls or soft codecs. It’s meant for small to medium meeting rooms where you want to keep the setup simple but still get full-room audio coverage.
Axient Digital PSM
This demo focused on Shure’s wireless microphone system paired with in-ear monitoring. It’s designed for live events or productions where multiple people need to hear a custom mix clearly — think stage performers, panelists or presenters who can’t rely on floor monitors.
Microflex Wireless neXt 4 and 8
These are wireless tabletop mic system with either four or eight pickup zones. They’re made for flexible spaces where the seating or table layout might change. Since they’re rechargeable and networked, they’re easy to move around and integrate into a larger system.
IntelliMix Room Kits
Each kit includes a ceiling mic, speaker, Shure’s IntelliMix DSP software and a small-form-factor PC to run everything. They’re designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms and are basically a ready-to-go option for medium to large conference spaces that need consistent audio without a rack full of gear.
MXN-AMP & Microflex Loudspeakers
This pair handles audio playback in networked environments. The amp is Dante-enabled and powers the Microflex speakers, which are built for installed meeting spaces. It’s a straightforward option for rooms that need clear sound but don’t need anything flashy.
Overall, it was a nice opportunity to get an in-person look at Shure’s latest tech, especially if you haven’t had time for a big trade show lately. If the Innovation Roadshow hits your city, it’s definitely worth checking out.
