Shawn O’Connell Leaves Samsung to Take EVP Position at Uniguest
Uniguest has appointed Shawn O’Connell, to the role of executive vice president of sales americas.
Having previously been head of hospitality sales at Samsung for twelve years and a senior member of the PSAV team for more than eight years, Shawn comes with pedigree in several of Uniguest’s core markets and will bring “vast experience to help drive the business towards its ambitious growth objectives.”
O’Connell will oversee teams focused on AV channel sales for all commercial markets including hospitality, healthcare, and senior living in the Americas, and commented, “I’m delighted to join one of the industry’s fastest growing businesses, working with a dynamic leadership team, and an incredible array of products and solutions.
“Uniguest has an opportunity to firmly establish itself as the world’s number one in the digital engagement space and I’m really looking forward to helping deliver that ambition with the exceptional team that has been built here in North America.”
Additionally, 20+ year AV industry veteran James Keen has been promoted to executive vice president of marketing and will work closely with O’Connell and his counterpart, executive vice president of sales EMEAP, Carlos Amoros, to deliver the company’s growth strategy led by Chief Revenue Officer Lee Horgan.
