THIS IS A PROMOTED POST

Behind The Stand ISE 2025 SHARP NEC

Welcome to this series highlighting some of the manufacturers and brands that will be featured on the show floor at ISE 2025. As we gear up for the event, we wanted to share a preview of what these companies are bringing to the table — from new products to insights about their focus for the show. These conversations offer a closer look at what you can expect and a chance to get to know the people behind the brands before the doors open in Barcelona. This interview is with Sharp/NEC’s Ian Barnard, senior vice president marketing and product management.

Q: Why is Sharp/NEC exhibiting at ISE this year?

A: We value the opportunity that ISE provides to forge new connections, strengthen relationships and expand our industry friendships! This year in particular, we are eager to showcase the result of our two world-leading brands coming together under the Sharp banner. New co-developed Sharp-branded products are setting industry standards in performance, efficiency and value. Visitors will also see that whilst our name is changing, our values and our people are not!

Q: What trends do you think we’ll see on the show floor and how is your company positioned to capitalise on these opportunities?

A: Two standout trends this year will undoubtedly be sustainability and AI. AI-driven digital signage offers exciting opportunities to create personalised experiences with tailored interactions to strengthen engagement. In a retail environment for instance, the combination of AI-powered content and large digital screen presentation is driving sales and leaving a lasting impression. At ISE this year, we will showcase next generation large format displays featuring seamless and secure embedded computing power, and highly energy efficient dvLED technology. These innovations offer boundless creative potential to capture attention whilst providing long-lasting sustainable performance.

Q: What new products or solutions are you showcasing at ISE and how do they address current industry challenges?

A: Visitors to ISE appreciate how we arrange our booth by vertical application making it easy for them to recognise how our solutions are tailored to their specific needs. This year we will feature solutions specifically designed for Signage & Transportation, Meeting & Collaboration, Command & Control, and Leisure, Museums & Higher Education.

We will showcase our new and fully Sharp branded line-up of large format displays for the first time. This incorporates the new E Series, M Series and P Series products, in all size classes. Models are equipped with USB-C connectivity for ease of use in meeting room scenarios as well as compatibility with latest generation Raspberry Pi compute modules for powerful and dynamic signage applications in corporate or transportation environments. The new mid-sized LM Series of interactive displays for kiosk and huddle installations complement the full display offering for our corporate customers alongside our new dvLED E Series for efficient all-in-one usage.

Another large-scale exhibit in a museum scenario will benefit from our X Series and A Series high-brightness and high-resolution laser installation projectors, now also under the Sharp brand.

As a technology preview, we will show new ePaper models at ISE, incorporating technologies from Sharp to further improve the performance of paper-like content presentation at unmatched levels of energy efficiency.

We will introduce the latest generation software platforms used to remote manage our visual products. Hiperwall version 9 will be used to control the visual content for large parts of the booth, whilst the NaViSet Server edition software will enable us to control, monitor and manage devices remotely.

Q: How is your company expanding its global presence besides exhibiting at ISE 2025?

A: Our Global Customer Program is well established in the industry offering multinational customers a single point of contact and globally available products, enabling them to benefit from the efficiencies of standardisation. As a global organisation with a trusted regional service and support network, we are uniquely positioned to provide a valuable partnership for multinational enterprises. Our team will be on hand at ISE keen to talk about on how Sharp/NEC can support global business.

Q: Why should ISE 2025 attendees visit your booth?

A: Under the theme ‘New is Now’, we will showcase the latest advancements in display technology, including the award-winning Sharp ePaper Display and next-gen, highly energy efficient dvLED technology. Our sustainable innovation is delivering exceptional performance and efficiency, helping our customers to significantly reduce costs and meet sustainability targets.
