Sharp Australia’s New Huddle Board

Sharp has launched a new Huddle Board, dubbed the PN-50TC1. The Huddle Board is a motivating way to collaborate engaging information between work huddle groups by using an intuitive touchscreen exchange of opinions, ideas and information. BYOD meetings are an optional extra with the bonus feature of wireless broadband. When the Huddle Board is not in use, it offers added value by displaying corporate advertisements, notices and other important workplace information.

The TC1 range comes as a 50-inch or 40-inch screen size to suit a user’s application. The board features a full-flat design with 10-point multi-touch functionality. Sharp’s capacitive touch technology offers a smooth and quick response for writing and touch gestures, while delivering full HD (1920×1080-pixel) resolution. The Huddle Board comes with a 2-millimeter tip touch pen. The onscreen menu allows easy switch inputs, options for touch and pen modes and access to other frequently used functions.

The built-in wireless broadband allows up to 10 devices including both Mac and Windows computers, various smartphones and tablets to be connected simultaneously without drop-out or low-quality connectivity. The PN-50TC1/40TC1 includes an extension slot compatible with the Intel Mini Open Pluggable Specification (Mini OPS) and a range of interface terminals such as HDMI and Display Port 1.2.

Other features include:

  • Ability to be installed in a landscape, portrait or horizontal orientation
  • Scanned documents that can be directly imported to Sharp pen software from a compatible Sharp Multi-function printer
  • Anti-glare glass that resists fingerprints and reduces reflections
  • Mount for web camera
  • 16-hour daily operation
  • Bundled stand for desktop/landscape set-up
