Sennheiser Updates TeamConnect Bar With Camera, Dante and Security Enhancements

Sennheiser has announced a new firmware update for its TeamConnect Bar Solutions, introducing camera performance improvements, expanded audio output options and enhanced security and network reliability for small to mid-sized meeting rooms.
Firmware version 1.3.8, available now as a free download, applies to both the TeamConnect Bar S and TeamConnect Bar M. The update is intended to improve day-to-day user experience while addressing customer feedback around video behavior, audio flexibility and system responsiveness.
Among the most visible changes is improved performance of the TC Bar’s 4K AI-enhanced camera. Sennheiser said frame movement has been reduced to deliver a more natural video experience when using features such as auto-framing and person tiling. A new default camera mode is designed to provide more consistent behavior during meetings, while still allowing temporary adjustments via remote control.
Audio flexibility has also been expanded with support for additional Dante audio outputs. While the TC Bars include integrated full-range stereo speakers, the update enables users to connect external speakers over Dante when additional audio outputs are required. The external speakers can also be used to stream audio continuously to Sennheiser’s MobileConnect solution.
The firmware update also targets operational improvements. Standby wake-up times have been reduced through optimization of the default energy mode, and an optional “Always On” setting has been added to help ensure meetings start without delays. Sennheiser said the update also ensures compliance with current security and regulatory standards.
For more complex installations, including split-mode configurations, network reliability has been improved through enhanced routing to support more stable performance.
Sennheiser’s TeamConnect Bar Solutions are designed as all-in-one conferencing devices for small and mid-sized collaboration spaces. The TC Bar S includes four microphones and two speakers, while the TC Bar M includes six microphones and four speakers. Both models are certified for Microsoft Teams and support brand-agnostic integration and centralized management.
The firmware update can be downloaded via Sennheiser Control Cockpit or from the company’s website by selecting the TC Bar S or TC Bar M product pages and accessing the firmware downloads section.
