Sennheiser explores trends in business communications with “Future of the Workplace” event at SoHo NYC Pop Up Store Location

phpk8sbkmpmNew York, NY, October 24, 2016 – Sennheiser, a leading provider of headsets and premium business communication solutions, will be hosting an educational event for business leaders, telecommunications industry decision-makers, and media entitled the “The Future of the Workplace” on October 26 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. in New York City. The event will take place at Sennheiser’s new SoHo pop-up store location, which opened on October 21st. Attendees will be able to view a broad portfolio of business headsets and conferencing solutions under the “Sennheiser for Business” umbrella.

The event will feature seminars from industry leaders, and a panel session moderated by Tori Seliokas, channel manager, telecommunications at Sennheiser Electronic Corp. “We have curated a panel of well-credentialed thought leaders and look forward to discussing vital trends that will impact how we collaborate and conduct business,” Seliokas said. “We’re excited to hear our guests’ views on how technology, architecture, mobility and communications all play into the workplace functionality of the future, addressing both the pros and cons of forthcoming developments.”

In addition to a vibrant panel discussion with thought leaders in business communication, the day will feature demonstrations of Sennheiser’s innovative TeamConnect Wireless conferencing solution as well as the company’s new business headset, the MB 660 with adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC).

“The event does not just explore theoretical issues, but demonstrates the technologies and strategies that are available right now — and are progressively being put into place in offices across the world — to fulfill the potential that open office designs, at-home agents, videoconferencing, and superior audio technologies have promised the business community,” said Andy Niemann, director business communication, Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co. KG.

The afternoon will examine the future of workplace from different perspectives, including:

  • The workplace’s migration toward open office floorplans, shared desks and virtual seating.
  • The emergence of “huddle rooms” and conference spaces to create privacy or facilitate remote connectivity for collaboration within these spaces.
  • How technologies including sophisticated noise-cancellation complement these trends and improve their effectiveness.
  • The rise of collaborative platforms such as BlueJeans, Cisco Spark, Zoom, and Microsoft Office 365, and their ability to accommodate the range of end-points required by the office of the future.

Industry authorities will discuss trends that will drive the development of the workplace environment, such office design, sociological factors, new avenues of collaboration, and innovative technological solutions. Speakers include:

Greg Harper, Chief Technology Officer, Neuehouse
