Scalable Display Technologies and 7thSense are set to showcase the world’s first multi-object reactive projection mapping solution at ISE 2025. This integration, featuring real-time adaptability, multi-object tracking, and dramatically reduced setup times, will debut at ISE 2025, stand 5H150, from Feb. 4-7, 2025, at the Fira Barcelona, Gran Via.

Building upon years of collaboration between the two companies, Scalable and 7thSense have teamed up to create a unified solution for accurately calibrating projectors within a 3D volume for multi-object reactive projection mapping. 7thSense first revealed their capabilities of real-time projection mapping at ISE 2023, laying the foundation for this next-generation multi-object solution. At ISE 2025, 7thSense will leverage Scalable’s software, demonstrating 7thSense’s ability to track and project onto multiple moving objects simultaneously, offering a seamless experience for theme parks, cinematic attractions, amusement rides and live entertainment.

The system uses motion-capture tracking dots to create a precise 3D representation of each object in real-time. Scalable’s technology calculates the relative positions of projectors and objects in the space, ensuring optimal pixel alignment at any given location within the volume. This combined with 7thSense real-time blending can eliminate shadows caused by overlapping and dynamically moving objects. By integrating these cutting-edge media server capabilities from 7thSense, the solution can handle the most complex scenarios without compromising visual quality.

The system features real-time multi-object tracking with unmatched accuracy, ensuring precise projection alignment across complex environments. With projection capabilities of up to 240 frames per second, it delivers seamless and dynamic visuals that enhance immersive experiences. Its rapid calibration and adaptability significantly reduce setup times, enabling quicker deployment for large-scale attractions. Additionally, the solution is compatible with industry-standard projectors, making it versatile and accessible for various applications.

Initially focused on complex projection environments like domes and planetariums, the partnership between Scalable and 7thSense has evolved to address the challenges of large-scale entertainment applications.
