DALLAS, TX, September 13, 2016 – Following up its announcement that the company will debut a complete 70v system at the CEDIA Expo, today Russound unveiled the second piece of the puzzle – the AW70V6 Surface Mount Indoor/Outdoor speaker.

Designed to complement the new XZone70V audio streamer, the AW70V6 (SRP: $369.00) adds articulate, detailed audio to commercial installations, using either 70v or 100v amplifications.

The AW70V6 features an adjustable weatherproof tap setting switch on the rear panel and rustproof aluminum grilles for years of trouble-free performance in nearly any outdoor environment. In addition, the narrow taper of the cabinet simplifies installation, even in the tightest corners.

The new AW70V6 epitomizes flexibility. From being voiced to both indoor and outdoor installations to the inclusion of a bypass switch setting that allows them to be used as high performance 6-ohm speakers, AW70V6 speakers are the single solution for nearly any commercial audio project.

Russound spared no expense in creating a speaker that exceeds what is typically expected at this price point. The AW70V6 features a 1” titanium dome tweeter combined in a ported cabinet with 6.5” injection-molded polypropylene woofers, providing exceptional sound, even in the most sonically challenging rooms.

The AW70V6 is included in the Russound Certified Installer (RCI) Program. “RCI Required” models boast a recently introduced feature designed to drastically reduce unauthorized online sales of the company’s products while ensuring that consumers receive the benefits of working with certified installation professionals. To date, more than 5,000 Russound installers are taking part in the program.
