rePLAY ISE 2025 1200x600 (1)

Welcome to the recap of rePLAY ISE 2025! Today, we will give you the recap of the recap—and so much more. During this event, Gary and Steph take us through the Best of ISE 2025 Awards, some of our 2,400 product videos, and honestly, just some really cool AV technology that you do not want to miss! In this recap, I’ll give you a taste of what you’re missing if you haven’t yet checked out our ISE microsite, and I promise you—you’ll be left wanting more, so make sure to watch the whole event on demand here.

Let’s dive right in! Gary and Steph wasted no time and gave us the most important award first: Best New Product at the Show. This award went to the Logitech Spot, a radar-based, battery-powered occupancy and environmental sensor used to optimize room usage, detect presence, and monitor environmental conditions. The product is easy to install—it’s battery-powered and simply sticks to the wall—and will help integrators dip their toes into the wellness technology market. Although other sensors exist, this is the only one that does both occupancy and environmental sensing, which is game-changing.

Another highlight was the Vivitek NovoWall 135-inch All-in-One, a wireless receiver that allows you to AirPlay directly to it without needing to connect USB or HDMI. Sadly, our European viewers might be the only ones who get to enjoy this product because Vivitek doesn’t market many of its European products in the U.S. Regardless, we are such big fans of the NovoWall that we gave it the Best All-in-One LED award.

Speaking of LED, the Best New Home Theater Display award went to LG Electronics’ OLED evo AI 97-inch. All you need to know is that this is “the best OLED you’ve ever seen, but even better,” according to our very own Gary Kayye.

On another note, there were a lot of cool immersive experiences to look out for at ISE this year. Our favorite was the EDC Acoustics Volumetric Wave Field Synthesis Application for Immersive Sound, which was rightfully awarded Best Immersive Experience. This product showcased a new approach to immersive sound: it creates a 3D audio environment that allows sound to be perceived from any point in space without the need for traditional speakers. Steph tells us this is going to optimize immersive experiences in spaces like museums, entertainment venues, and large installations.

Now, we have three products that particularly stood out because they showcase interesting applications of existing technologies:

  1. Valens, Looq Sensing Technologies, and Framos collaboration – Similar to the telepresence system from 15 to 20 years ago, this new product has cameras behind the display, allowing you to make eye contact during video calls. This innovation received rAVe’s Here’s the Future award—and deservingly so.
  2. Samsung’s HoloDisplay – While holographic displays have been around for a while, this one is particularly useful for viewers at different angles. The specific application mentioned was for drive-thrus, allowing customers a few cars back to still see the menu. That’s why it won rAVe’s Best New Creative Digital Signage Product of ISE 2025.
  3. 7thSense’s Reactive Projection Mapping with OptiTrack – I saved the best for last! This product, which won Best ISE Tech Demo, is truly fascinating. Imagine holding an object in your hands, and as you move it, a projector and camera track its position, dynamically adjusting the projection mapping in real time. While projection mapping isn’t new, this application is completely innovative.

I can’t possibly end this recap without mentioning AI, so let’s talk about how some products incorporated artificial intelligence:

  • NetSpeek, winners of Best New Technology, presented their generative AI assistant, Lena, at ISE this year. Lena acts as an install assistant—you can speak directly to her, and not only can she guide you through using a room, but she can also control certain systems over the network. For example, you could say, “Hey Lena, something in Room 101 isn’t right,” and she’ll try to address the issue.
  • Kudo won Most Creative Use of AI for its real-time translation technology. Since Kudo is web-based, it works across multiple applications.
  • Vicom’s SurtitleSeat was awarded Best Concept Product for its real-time translations and subtitles, which are displayed on the seat in front of you.

That’s a wrap on rePLAY ISE 2025! If you haven’t checked out our ISE microsite yet, or registered to watch the whole event on demand, what are you waiting for?
