If you’ve been begging for an AV-over-IP standard, this is THE PODCAST for you. The AIMS Alliance is trying to do this in the ProAV market. “Instead of reinventing the round wheel,” says AIMS Alliance Chair of the ProAV Working Group, David Chiappini, “AIMS will focus on promoting and supporting AV-over-IP standards, not closed-platforms.” By the wya, David is the EVP of R&D at Matrox too; and he’s been there for over 23 years so he has a long history with high-end video and graphics processing!

Chiappini thinks that what Dante, SDVoE, Crestron (with NVX) and Extron (NAV) are doing is only a bridge to the future but, not the future.
