PureLink to Unveil AV Industry’s First Purpose-Built, Modular Network Switch with AVB at InfoComm 2019

RAMSEY, NJ, June 7, 2018 – PureLink, the leader in AV and IP distribution, will be unveiling the world’s first purpose-designed, modular AV network switch featuring AVB (Audio Video Bridging) technology at InfoComm 2019. The revolutionary Media Hub M28A houses any combination of four CAT/Fiber modules (up to 28 ports), allowing custom configuration in a variety of applications including home theater, control rooms, corporate signage, multi-room distribution, and more. With support for AVB, the Media Hub M28A offers master clock synchronization between all connected AV devices, delivering powerful transport reliability. The Media Hub M28A is also pre-configured out of the box to work with any closed AV over IP distribution system without additional setup.

“The Media Hub M28A with modular IOs and AVB technology is a true embodiment of PureLink’s leadership in innovation,” said Keith Frey, Senior Product Manager at PureLink. “The ability to configure port types not only allows integrators to customize the media hub, but also provides room for expansion and the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements,” he added. “Together with AVB Technology, the M28A provides ultimate reliability and ultra-low latency, even with multiple switch hops.”

The PureStream™ Media Hub line includes medium and large I/O count TAA compliant network switches offering both CAT and fiber transport – all designed to work reliably with VIP endpoints and simplify the management of AV over IP video distribution systems.
