projectiondesign Ships New Flagship 3-Chip DLP Projector

projectiondesign’s new F85 is a 3-chip DLP (3D capable) projector that claims a brightness of 11,000 lumens (not ANSI), and a contrast ratio of 14,000:1. Available in WUXGA or 1080p resolutions, the F85 can optically switch between REC.709, which refers to HDTV systems having roughly two million luma samples per frame, and DCI P7 color spaces.

As for 3D, the F85 series can display sequential 3D at up to 120 Hz, as well as frame rate convert any input signal to 120 Hz with the X-PORT DCC120, and combine two input streams to a single sequential.

The F85 is available with an optional set of lenses for a wide range of focal distances from 1.70 to 6.24 for long thrown distances. It also includes a powered lens shift system with user adjustable optical color processing filters.
