PPDS, the company behind Philips Professional Displays, announced that its dvLED, interactive, and digital signage solutions have been installed at WorkBetter, a flexible workspace company in Sofia, Bulgaria. The technology supports a newly upgraded office environment designed to offer the ultimate “office-away-from-the-office” experience.

Located in one of Bulgaria’s most visited cities, WorkBetter was founded in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic and offers flexible office spaces to businesses and individuals. With the bold slogan “Work from home sucks,” the company has quickly grown, with clients including Infosys, Aldi, Vivid, Booking.com and Dell Technologies. Co-founder and CEO Tony Aleksandrov has expanded the business to three locations to meet growing demand.

Bogdan Blinda, regional sales manager for Southern and Eastern Europe, Israel and Turkey at PPDS, said, “The appeal and demand for flexible co-working offices and space continues to grow at a significant pace. Last year, the market was valued at $22.01 billion and is expected to reach $82.12 billion by 2034. To stay on top and meet the ever-evolving needs of its diverse range of clients – whether individuals or entire teams – WorkBetter want to ensure the experiences and capabilities provided are to the highest standard. To achieve that, the quality and reliability of its display technology is crucial.”

As part of a modernization initiative for its first two buildings — WorkBetter 1.0 and WorkBetter 2.0 — located 120 meters apart, the company partnered with PPDS and AV integration firm OmniChannel BG to implement a comprehensive display upgrade. The project includes digital signage, collaboration displays, screen sharing solutions, and control systems throughout the space, from reception areas to on-site gymnasiums.

In total, 30 Philips professional displays were installed across more than 12,000 square meters of office space, which includes 1,300 workstations. Displays were chosen to improve wayfinding, presentations, collaboration and room booking, all connected in a unified, smart system designed for efficiency and future flexibility.

Twelve Philips 10-inch T-Line touch displays were installed for room booking and system control. These units, powered via Power-over-Ethernet, are also used in the gym for managing audio systems. Other displays installed include eight 55-inch, six 65-inch and two 75-inch Philips Business TVs, plus a 65-inch Philips E-Line collaboration display. The Android-based systems support wireless content sharing via Google Cast and offer seamless interactive experiences.

A standout feature is a Philips Unite LED 5000 Series wall with a 1.5-pixel pitch, installed to enhance the brand’s image and offer dynamic communication tools. Supporting HDR10+ and 12-bit color, the display delivers rich visuals and deep contrast.

Sustainability was a major focus for the project. The displays are designed for lower energy consumption and easy system management, helping WorkBetter improve efficiency while elevating the customer experience. PPDS ensured full integration across devices, delivering interoperability and providing on-site configuration and training to support a smooth rollout.
