Philips Mediasuite

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips professional TV and digital signage products, is excited to announce the launch of its biggest and most immersive hospitality display to date – the 4K UHD Philips MediaSuite 75” connected pro TV.

Bringing movie theater experiences to hotel rooms, the latest addition to the game-changing Philips MediaSuite range in North America (Model: 75HFL6114U/12), will go on display for the first time in booth (#3421), at InfoComm 2021 in Orlando, FL (Oct 23-29).

Available now for pre-order, the new, more immersive 75” size variant brings all the advanced – and often world-first – features and capabilities which have helped the Philips MediaSuite range become the brand of choice for many of the world’s leading hotels chains around the globe.

Thinking outside the box
The addition of the 75” model further enforces PPDS’ unrivaled commitment to listening and responding quickly to customer feedback (including the end-user), as well as keeping its finger on the pulse around market trends to provide the solutions hoteliers want and need. According to forecasts, the global flat panel display market is projected to be valued at $189.60 billion by 2026, up from $116.80 billion in 2018.

Jeroen Verhaeghe, the mastermind behind Philips MediaSuite, and International Business Manager for Hospitality at PPDS, said: “At PPDS, we pride ourselves on innovation and bringing cutting-edge solutions to market for businesses to be the best they can be. Hospitality is a hugely important market and hoteliers recognize that needs and demands from customers and indeed for themselves, are in a constant state of evolution. We have a responsibility to our customers and the wider market to be able to respond quickly and accordingly, whether it’s software or hardware related. The market has asked for a 75” version of MediaSuite and that’s exactly what we’re delivering.”

Taking control
As with the previously released models debuted in North America earlier in Q2 (April), the upgradable Philips MediaSuite 75” edition runs on the Android TV™ OS, and comes equipped with extensive entertainment choice and capabilities, plus industry-leading advanced personalization, remote control, and management functionality.

With Chromecast built-in™, guests can stream and view their own content – be it photos, movies, music or even presentations – instantly and in up to 4K from their compatible laptop or mobile device (IOS, Android™ and Windows) with just the touch of a button and with no new apps or additional hardware required.

Users also have access to thousands of popular apps on Google Play, including popular services such as local news, weather and traffic information, as well as content streaming from providers such as YouTube™, Deezer and Spotify, plus Disney+, among others.

With the addition of highly secure voice control capabilities, compatibility with the PPDS GuestConnect app – turning your own mobile phone into a TV remote – plus regular Android updates via PPDS’ Extended Lifetime guarantee – adding the latest features and security patches – PPDS continued to redefine the hotel TV experience.

Joe King, Commercial VP at PPDS added: “At PPDS, we’ve built long-term partnerships with our clients to provide them with the solutions they need, when they need them. Our clients are looking for larger display sizes now, and we are delighted to introduce the new Philips MediaSuite 75” to our partners in North America.”

King added: “There was a time when the hotel TV was something to be excited about, as it would offer an experience that would often surpass that achievable at home. In recent times, those expectations have sadly flipped around, with the market failing to keep pace with the ever-evolving needs and requirements of both the hotelier and the guest. That’s why we have returned to this market and with Philips MediaSuite, we have the world’s first and only TV range designed and built for the hotel experience, catering to not only their current, but also future needs.”
