PowerShades Releases Gen2 RF Gateway
PowerShades announced the availability of its Gen2 RF Gateway. With this new RF Gateway, users of PowerShades RF automated shades (including battery-powered, DC, and AC) can get connectivity between their shades and the PowerShades Dashboard, as well as with a range of other operating systems and devices.
PowerShades Gen2 RF Gateway says it delivers significantly faster processing than its predecessor — in fact, at 550MHz it is nearly seven times faster. It also offers more internal storage than Gen1, allowing for future integrations.
The new Gen2 RF Gateway utilizes Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for the most efficient power delivery through a single Ethernet cable. This not only reduces energy usage but also simplifies installation and reduces clutter.
PowerShades’ Gen2 RF Gateway also offers the option of USB-C Power, ensuring compatibility with a “wide range of operating systems and devices.” Plus, with its Dry Contact Input, the Gen2 RF Gateway enables versatile integration and enhances the flexibility of automation setup.
Indicators – both audio and visual (RGB LED) on the Gen2 RF Gateway — provide intuitive feedback. This new feature simplifies the process of recognizing system status and troubleshooting issues.
