Poly and HP Release Co-Developed MS Teams Room Kit: New Poly Modular Studio G62 and Updates to PolyLens Debut

The new Poly Studio Base Kit G9 Plus is designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms as a “next-generation room solution co-engineered by HP’s desktop compute and Poly’s collaboration teams.” The solution includes the new HP Mini IP PC G9 and Poly TC10 controller which connects directly to the PC with a Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection. Multiple controllers can be added in larger spaces for greater versatility. Whether users are in a focus room or a board room, they can pair the base kit with compatible Poly cameras and other peripherals to match the needs of the meeting space.

Select Poly devices, such as the Poly Studio V52 video bar, can be attached to the HP Mini IP PC to enable Poly’s AI-driven audio and video features, such as Poly DirectorAI Perimeter, NoiseBlockAI and Sound Reflection Reduction.

The Poly Studio G62 is a videoconferencing system that brings enterprise-grade video and audio to large and flexible spaces. The Poly Studio G62 integrates with various peripherals such as cameras, microphones and controllers, making it a solution for boardrooms, classrooms and flex spaces.

The Poly Studio G62 provides what Poly is dubbing a “premium experience” that can be expanded with multiple cameras and microphones for larger meeting spaces. With sustainability top of mind, the Poly Studio G62 is made up of 80% post-consumer recycled plastics and 20% recycled metals.

In addition, Poly released the Poly VideoOS 4.3 software to enable the Poly TC8 or TC10 to be used as a room controller. When paired with Poly Studio X Series video bars, Poly Studio G62, or G7500 videoconferencing system, users can access video calls and control various room settings such as lighting and displays from a single device.

Poly Lens supports the Poly Studio G62 and Poly Studio Base Kit G9 Plus, providing IT teams with remote device management of Poly devices from a single dashboard. Additionally, Poly Lens now integrates with Zoom Device Management (ZDM), to deliver room health status, accessible through the Poly Lens portal.

Pricing and Availability:

  • The Poly Studio Base Kit G9 Plus designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms will be available in CYQ3 for $2,699. It will be available in June 2024.
  • The Poly Studio G62 modular video conferencing system will also be available in June 2024 for $1,999.
