Philips Professional Display Solutions Hires Tim Allen as Director of Business Development
Philips Professional Display Solutions just hired Tim Allen as its director of business development, LED. A 30-year AV industry veteran, Allen is leading the LED strategy at Philips in a market expected to be $7 billion by 2024 (according to the company).

With extensive experience in the AV industry and a focus on the LED space, Tim is the right person to bring our technology and best-in-class service to the forefront of the conversation. His accomplishments, including success in large venues and servicing multiple verticals, are exactly the big initiatives we’re looking to support.”
All displays are front-serviceable, allowing customers to customize LED modules, cables and power supplies without removing it from the wall. The bundles come in three sizes. Plus, every Philips LED display has A-grade, gold-wired LEDs, extremely high color consistency, excellent contrast and incredible brightness, which is used to improve device performance. Additional product specs include:
- The 27BDL91XXL LED tile includes a 27” 16×9 module, available in pitch sizes of 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 1.9mm. FHD kits are available in sizes ranging from 110” to 165”, and UHD kits are available in a size range of 220” to 330”.
- The 44BDL81XXL LED tile features a 44”, 50cm x 100cm module in three pitch sizes that range from 2.8mm to 4.8mm and a bezel-free design.
Tim Allen joined the company in March 2020 and will work with the North American sales team to expand LED product sales and enhance their LED expertise.
