Panasonic Connect Debuts New Production-Grade PTZ Camera That Includes Esports and Virtual Production, Too
Panasonic Connect’s new AW-UE150AW/AK 4K PTZ camera is designed for both broadcasters and content creators.
The UE150AW/AK supports the NDI High Bandwidth protocol enabling IP-based, low-latency 4K video transmission. This is in addition to existing support for SRT and NDI HX2 protocols, ensuring steady performance in unstable network conditions. It is also compatible with 12G-SDI, 2x 3G-SDI, HDMI and fibre output formats.
Equipped with a high-sensitivity 1.0-type 4K MOS sensor, Panasonic’s UE150AW/AK includes a wide-angle lens (75.1° horizontal), 20x optical zoom and built-in auto-tracking functionality.
The UE150AW/AK features an optical low-pass filter (OLPF) that reduces luminance and color moiré when filming monitors or LED walls, while HDR (HLG) compatibility delivers better color. Both of these features help in its application of Virtual Production.
Finally, it includes an Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) the tis designed to minimize image shake during pan and tilt operations, and upgraded synchronization of pan, tilt and zoom presets for a smoother camera operation.
