Owl Labs announced a collaboration with Lenovo to introduce a new range of Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR-W) systems that merge Owl Labs’ 360-degree AI-powered cameras with Lenovo’s ThinkSmart room kits. The partnership combines Owl Labs’ Meeting Owl 3 and 4+ devices with Lenovo’s ThinkSmart Core and Tiny Kit systems to create flexible, center-of-room meeting solutions for hybrid work environments.

The joint offering integrates Owl Labs’ 360-degree audio and video capture technology with Lenovo’s modular Teams-certified hardware, aiming to simplify the setup and operation of hybrid meeting spaces. According to Frost & Sullivan, the global room video devices market is expected to reach $7.8 billion by 2029, presenting significant growth opportunities for solutions that enhance collaboration between in-person and remote participants.

“Hybrid work demands technology that works for everyone, regardless of their location,” said Frank Weishaupt, CEO of Owl Labs. “Teaming up with Lenovo creates a new standard for seamless 360-degree collaboration for hybrid meetings … By combining our center-of-room innovation with Lenovo’s modular approach, we’re reimagining what inclusive hybrid meetings can be.”

The bundles pair a Meeting Owl 3 or 4+ with Lenovo’s ThinkSmart Core or Tiny Kit to deliver a complete Teams Rooms experience. Each configuration includes a Lenovo Controller for one-touch meeting management, allowing organizations to upgrade from bring-your-own-device setups to fully integrated, Microsoft Teams-certified systems.

Available bundles include options ranging from the entry-level Meeting Owl 3 + ThinkSmart Tiny Kit at $2,176 to the premium Meeting Owl 4+ + ThinkSmart Core (Gen 2) with controller, priced between $5,344 and $5,613. All configurations are available through TD Synnex, LSM, and Ingram in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.

“Our collaboration with Owl Labs is pivotal in expanding Lenovo’s ThinkSmart portfolio,” said Marcus Kennedy, general manager of Smart Collaboration at Lenovo. “By integrating Owl Labs’ innovative 360-degree camera solutions, we are now able to offer a truly differentiated AI-powered audio-visual experience that complements our existing front-of-room bars offering.”

The combined solution aims to address common hybrid meeting challenges such as setup complexity, inconsistent audio pickup and limited camera coverage. Owl Labs’ devices automatically focus on whoever is speaking, while Lenovo’s Teams Rooms systems provide secure, update-ready software environments for reliable long-term operation.

The partnership underscores a shared focus on enabling more inclusive and adaptable meeting environments for organizations of all sizes.
