On Controls Appoints Jeffrey Skalny as Director of Control

oncontrols-logo1Detroit, MI June 17, 2015 – On Controls (www.oncontrols.com), a leader in cloud-based smart home and commercial control solutions for professional installers, has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Skalny as Director of Control. Reporting directly to the CEO, Skalny will be based at the company’s headquarters in Detroit and in charge of establishing and maintaining critical relationships with 3rd party manufacturers in the Internet of Things (IoT) community as well as communicating with integrators, ensuring that the features and functionality of the On Controls platform matches the needs of an evolving marketplace.

Skalny helped grow a prominent integration firm for over 15 years in Troy, Michigan, leading their ascension in the upscale residential segment before serving as VP of Commercial Solutions. Spire Integrated Systems became one of the most successful and respected integration service providers in the region. Skalny also has a background in computer and networking. “The most exciting part of my new role with On Controls is an opportunity to help shape a control brand into the ultimate supplier based on my perspective as an integrator,” explained Skalny. “A cloud-based solution is such an asset to the integrator—enabling them to create, manage and maintain new projects in a secure and efficient manner,” Skalny added. “I am looking forward to consistent and meaningful communication with our channels.”

“As On Controls has sustained rapid growth in both residential and commercial market segments, we have identified an opportunity to leverage the expert-level technical experience and market awareness that Jeffrey brings to our organization as Director of Control,” stated On Controls CEO Itai Ben-Gal. “We anticipate that Jeffrey’s presence will positively impact new product development and help to grow our vital partners programs so we can best serve the entire IoT community,” Ben-Gal concluded.
