A call for entries was announced for the NSCA Expo 2007 Innovations in Technology Awards. Spanning seven product categories including Audio, Business Productivity, Control Systems, Convergence, Security/Fire/Life Safety, Video/Display Technology, and Website, the awards are open to all Expo exhibitors.

NSCA Expo exhibitors are eligible to submit one new product per category in up to two categories for consideration. All entries will be collected online at nscaexpo.org. Three finalists for each category will be chosen by an independent voting committee, and attendees of the 2007 NSCA Expo will cast their vote for the final winning products on-site.

Each of the finalists’ products will be on display in the Innovations in Technology Awards pavilion beginning with the opening day of Expo, Thursday, March 15. Votes will be tallied after 5 P.M. Friday, March 16.  NSCA will recognize all three finalists from each of the seven categories at the NSCA Membership Luncheon and Innovations in Technology Awards Ceremony. Winners will be announced at the President’s Reception Friday, March 16th from 6:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Rosen Centre. The winning products will be on display Saturday, March 17 until the Expo closes at 2 P.M. Now in its fourth year, this year’s Innovations in Technology Awards program is co-sponsored by SYSTEMS CONTRACTOR NEWS magazine.

NSCA Expo 2007 will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, March 15-17, and is produced and managed by the NSCA.

NSCA also announced the Connected Buildings Conference to be held in conjunction with NSCA. This will serve as a forum for architects, designers, building owners, facility managers, and IT decision makers with an interest in learning more about technical services offered for today’s buildings. The conference will focus on how to best utilize technology to create “intelligent” buildings. Conference attendees will additionally discover how technology can generate additional revenue streams, improve health, safety, and security, enable workplace productivity, and reduce building lifecycle costs.
