Huddly Crew just got bigger with add-on cameras to support its AI-directed multi-camera experience in larger UCC spaces. Huddly says its Crew add-on cameras are expected for Q3 and a new Huddly Director AI software tailored for larger spaces is coming via firmware update, also in Q3.

The company says the Huddly Crew is designed to be flexible, using on-device AI to automate the meeting experience – almost like an automated 3-camera shoot of a TV show. This means that in larger spaces, users can easily add additional cameras without slowing down the system or compromising performance, according to Huddly.

Huddly says Huddly Crew uses AI to automate and shape the meeting experience for “great collaboration and communication in any space.” The company says users can choose between Speaker or Collaboration mode, depending on whether they want a focus on the speaker or engage with the whole team.

Here is an example of what Speaker and Collaboration mode look like:

According to the company, Huddly Director will adapt camera switching to user’s mode, so that users can just focus on the meeting at hand. Huddly Crew’s AI is flexible and works out of the box, no lengthy presets or configuration needed.

Certified for Microsoft Teams and compatible with all major platforms, the company says the Huddly Crew is easy to set up with USB plug-and-play. Huddly says its goal is for the technology to get out of the way so that users can focus on what really matters.
