NEWAURO officially launched its collaboration with Premium Audio, enabling AURO-3D support on selected hardware devices by subsidiary brands under the Premium Audio umbrella. As part of this firmware update, consumers can now explore the full range of immersive audio formats offered in today’s market.

Effective immediately, various hardware devices will support the AURO-3D firmware update, including the Onkyo TX-RZ70, Pioneer VSA-LX805, Pioneer Elite VSX-LX805, and Integra DRX-8.4, offering Premium Audio customers the best immersive audio experience through native content playback using the AURO-Codec.

Additionally, consumers can use the Auromatic upmixer for any legacy non-immersive content, making this update a valuable addition to overall immersive sound consumption. With Premium Audio’s support, AURO-3D once again confirms its expanding position in the high-end consumer space with more than 60% of receiver brands currently supporting the format. This makes AURO-3D today’s fastest-growing immersive sound format.

All the applicable Premium Audio receiver models have an 11.2 or 11.4 architecture, supporting native AURO-3D formats ranging from AURO 9.1 to AURO 11.1 and ensuring a lifelike immersive audio experience. More than 65 movies and 235 music albums in AURO are available for the consumer market today, with weekly new content updates.
