New Sub-$2K 1080p Projector From Sanyo
Sanyo just announced a 1080p project for just $1,995! The PLV-Z700 is a 3LCD projector specified at 1200 ANSI lumens, 10,000:1 contrast ratio, and 1920 x 1080 resolution. It can project from 40” to 300”, and it also has a nice lens shift that shifts the equivalent of 3 screens vertically and 2 screens horizontally. It has 2x zoom and runs at a rather quiet 21 dBA when in Cinema Black Mode.
It has two HDMI inputs as well as the other expected connections, and it weighs 16.5 pounds. Sanyo says the company’s new variable iris offers rapid adjustments, and controls the amount of light projected on the screen every 1/60th of a second to achieve optimal light level at all times.
The PLV-Z700 will be shipping in October.
