New Planar DirectLight Slim LED is Only 2” In Depth and It Can Install Curved, Too!
Planar has expanded its DirectLight family with the launch of the Planar DirectLight Slim Series, a fine pixel pitch MicroLED video wall designed for curved and space-constrained installations. Applications include control rooms, broadcast studios, virtual production, extended reality, simulation and training, and research environments.
With an installation depth of less than two inches, the Planar DirectLight Slim Series supports tightly curved video walls while minimizing color shift compared to other LED displays. It is also suited for flat video walls in tight spaces due to its slim profile and front-serviceable design.
The series features MicroLED technology and is available in 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, and 1.8 millimeter pixel pitches. It offers a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits and a 4:9 aspect ratio for flexible installation options.
Planar DirectLight Slim Series also introduces pixel-level monitoring, providing detailed insights into display health and performance. Customers can choose between the Planar WallDirector Video Controller or a compatible ColorLight controller. The series includes remote power capabilities and five times the bandwidth of comparable solutions.
Planar has also enhanced its DirectLight Pro Series by adding pixel-level monitoring and MicroLED technology, further improving display performance across the DirectLight family.
