New Marantz Integrated Amplifier and CD Player Now Available
Marantz announced the new PM6007 Integrated Amplifier and CD6007 CD Player. Both are aimed at the custom install market.
- The PM6007 Integrated Amplifier ($599): The PM6007 is a two-channel integrated amplifier, delivering the most musical performance from both digital and analog sources. Featuring a Toroidal power transformer, larger power supply capacitors and carefully selected components throughout, the PM6007 integrated amplifier delivers 45 watts per channel (8ohm, 20Hz-20kHz). To accommodate today’s listener’s connectivity requirements, the PM6007 offers both analog and digital inputs (five analog inputs, one coaxial input and two optical digital inputs), including an onboard Moving Magnet phono preamp along with a subwoofer output. Enthusiasts can enjoy high-resolution digital content thanks to an internal reference-quality AK4490 DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) capable of up to 192-kilohertz/24-bit resolution for optimum playback fidelity.
- CD6007 CD Player ($449): The Marantz CD6007 CD Player offers specially-selected premium-grade components and an enhanced circuit layout including an oversized, low-noise power supply with high-speed, high-current Shottky Barrier Diodes and 120 percent larger capacitors from the previous model for improved stability and reduced AC noise even during the most demanding listening sessions. The CD6007 features a new, reference-quality AK4490 DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) offering two selectable filter options. The new DAC provides up to 192-kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6 megahertz resolution and CD and CD-R/RW discs as well as WAV, MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF and DSD files are supported. The analog signal in the CD6007 is driven by Marantz’s proprietary HDAM-SA2 low-level amplifier to gold-plated outputs on the rear panel. Rigid feet and a double-layered bottom panel eliminate unwanted vibration from reaching the precision mechanism inside the player. The CD6007 features an internal headphone amplifier with a gain setting.
The Marantz PM6007 and CD6007 are available now in black or silver-gold.
