NetStreams Official Enters ProAV Market With InfoComm Debut

NetStreams, a company with media-over-IP streaming products, has been a prominent player in the home entertainment market for some time. At InfoComm, NetStreams officially entered the ProAV market, where the company showed its products. The DigiLinX IP-Based Multi-Room Audio distribution distributes audio over CAT5e using TCP/IP on a segmented section of an Ethernet network. The Musica Multi-Room Audio system has interactive keypads, and the design of the Musica 5066 system places digital amplifiers in each room, behind each keypad, rather than in one central location.

NetStreams also showed the long-awaited video distribution system, Panorama, a point to multi-point, balanced line level High Definition Video Distribution & Control System, distributing up to 4 HDTV (1080i) video sources to 6 display locations.

The company’s entry into the ProAV market comes as no huge surprise, since Mike Weeks, formerly of InFocus, joined NetStreams. And it’s a good fit ? IP audio distribution is a great solution for many organizations that play music around the facility and the video distribution is a natural for digital signage.
