NEC Display Solutions Introduces New Thin-Bezel, Large-Screen LCDs
NEC announced new commercial large-screen LCDs in 40- and 46-inch sizes as part of the new 20 Series. The 40-inch MultiSync LCD4020 and 46-inch LCD4620 use new chevron-shaped pixels for twice the contrast of traditional PVA panels. NEC says this technology also increases brightness and viewing angles.
These are specified at 1366 x 768 resolution, 1200:1 contrast ratio, and 10-millisecond response time. The new ultra-thin bezels are five times thinner than the current large-screen series.
NEC’s Digital Signage Technology Suite, which includes more than 20 features and functions developed specifically for digital signage, is incorporated into the Series. These new models also include an expansion slot for an optional HDTV tuner or future technology components. Pricing was not announced.
