NEC Adds 80″ to Lineup
NEC Display’s newest display is in the form of an 80″ V801 — a commercial-grade LCD monitor that’s LED Edge-lit and native 1920x1080p. The V801 features built-in, 10-watt speakers and an Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) compliant expansion slot. This future-proofs the display and allows for the seamless integration of a computer or other NEC/third-party accessories. Moreover, video, RS232 control and power are passed internally from the display to the computer, eliminating additional cabling and simplifying installations.
The V801 is spec’d to deliver 320/460 cd/m² brightness (typical/maximum) and 5,000:1 contrast ratio. It includes DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA and component video inputs, Ethernet and RS232 control, and is integrated with NEC’s TeleMatrix which allows for a 10×10 wall and it has an ATSC tuner.
