NEC Adds 55″ to Flagship P Series Line

nec-P552_HO-0212NEC Display has added a 55-inch model to its top-of-the-line P Series large-screen displays in the form of the P552, a professional-grade LED-lit LCD intended for 24/7 operation in applications like digital signage and network operations centers. Integrated with Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) technology, digital loop-through capabilities, reduced depth, 10 percent lower power consumption and built-in 10-watt speakers, the P552 is native 1080p display with a contrast ratio of 4000:1 and a brightness spec of 700 cd/m2. Integrators can use NEC’s Tile Matrix technology to allow for video walls up to 100 displays. Inputs include DVI, DisplayPort and composite video. And, NEC has a version (P552-AVT) that includes a built-in NTSC/ATSC analog/digital tuner, which allows for high-definition broadcast capabilities (P552-AVT model).

Remote diagnostics and external control, including RS-232C, RJ45 LAN, IR Remote and DDC/CI, make the P series compatible with all control options including network-based control. The displays also include a carbon footprint meter, which tracks and calculates the conservation of green gas emissions, making it a GreenAV product.

The P552 will ship this month for $3,199 and the P552-AVT will list for $3,399.
