MuxLab Adds 4K60 Distribution Solutions to their line up

Muxlab-300x1394K media distribution is becoming an integral part of today’s commercial and residential installations. The R&D team at MuxLab have developed their next generation true high-definition solution for multi-room distribution. At INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE (ISE), FEBRUARY 2016, AMSTERDAM, MuxLab will showcase their new 4K60 Multimedia 16×16 Matrix Switch (part number: 500480).

Housed within a newly designed modular chassis, the 16×16 matrix uses an I/O structure featuring 4x connections per card with a maximum switching capacity of 16×16. Input and output cards comprise of both HDMI and HDBaseT (Class A and Class B chipsets available), allowing maximum flexibility and choice to the user based on the project requirement.

The HDMI I/O cards feature HDMI 2.0 connectivity allowing 18Gbps+ of data transfer for 4K60 4:4:4 media; the HDBaseT I/O cards allow 4K60 4:2:0 pass-through with both the Class A & B chipsets. Maximum transmission distances of 70m @1080p or 40m @ 4K with Class B HDBaseT, and 100m @1080p or 70m @ 4K from the Class A products can be achieved over single Cat5e/6 cabling. A front HDMI port allows for a 17th HDMI output for monitoring purposes.

PoE is supplied to the relevant compatible MuxLab transmitters or receivers and allow for 2-way IR and RS232 pass through where required. LAN serving capability using the HDBaseT Class A chipsets give extra flexibility when installing into environments with a limited CAT / network infrastructure.

With serial, USB, IP and IR control connectivity; gaining control using a 3rd party system is made easy. A new 7” colour touchscreen LCD provides an intuitive GUI for finger-tip control from the front of the unit. A built-in test pattern generator gives the installer the ability to test all outputs of the system for performance prior to sources being installed. The dual redundant power supply module design allows for maximum performance with peace-of-mind for the most demanding of installations.

“The release of our 2nd generation modular matrix has been the culmination of 2 years hard work by our Canadian R&D team. We strive to provide our customers with the very latest innovative solutions to keep up with the ever-changing advancements in signal distribution our clients require.”  — Marc Bohbot, Director of R&D, MuxLab Inc.

The 4K60 Multimedia 16×16 Matrix will be showcasing on the MuxLab stand (hall 1, stand N190), please book an appointment with a member of the MuxLab team for further information.
