MSolutions has introduced two meeting room products focused on USB-C connectivity. The first is the MS-3RU-DPA-C, a USB-C extender that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode; the second is 1Connect, a complete AV connectivity and room control ecosystem.

The “DPA” in the MS-3RU-DPA series reflects its DisplayPort Alternate Mode capability, enabling native transmission of video, audio, data, and power over a single USB-C cable — no drivers or software required. One USB-C connection runs from the source to the Host extender, and another from the Device extender to USB-C-ready displays.

For mixed environments, hybrid extender configurations are available that include HDMI and USB ports at the Host or Device end. This enables USB-C to HDMI/USB or the reverse — ideal for AV systems transitioning to USB-C.

1Connect uses the MS-63DOC Docking Extender Kit, which pairs Host and Device units to transport AV and USB signals. 1Connect simplifies front-end connectivity by consolidating video (up to 4K@60 4:4:4), audio and data from a laptop or computer to the MS-63DOC Host unit via a single USB-C cable.
