Modus VR Releases Version 2.0 With Desktop Mode, Lighting Enhancements and New Interface
Modus VR has announced the release of Modus 2.0, a major update that introduces several new features designed to expand accessibility, improve realism, and simplify the AV design experience for users at all levels.
Desktop Mode: Design Without a Headset
The new Desktop Mode allows users to run Modus on a standard PC, eliminating the need for a VR headset. This feature enables AV professionals to collaborate, edit and present designs from any location, making the platform more flexible for remote or on-the-go workflows.
Upgraded Lighting System Adds Realism
Modus 2.0 includes a High Quality Lighting system that enhances visual accuracy by adding realistic shadows, soft reflections and ambient lighting. Users can now simulate various daylight conditions with tools that control:
- Sun placement on the horizon
- Direction and angle of natural light
- Light intensity and color temperature
These lighting tools help users better visualize how a space will look throughout the day, from early morning to evening.
Revamped User Interface
The update also introduces a redesigned user interface focused on improving clarity, navigation and ease of use. The new layout is intended to make design tools more intuitive, especially for those without experience in CAD or 3D modeling.
Modus VR said Version 2.0 was developed to make professional-quality AV environment modeling faster and more accessible for a wider range of users, including first-time designers and industry veterans.
