Miravue Unveils IP Video Distribution & Control System
Sara Abrons
Today Miravue unveiled its low-cost, IP video distribution and control system for the commercial integrator market at InfoComm 2016. Miravue’s VIP (video over IP) system distributes HDMI sources to HDMI displays and delivers several firsts:
Simultaneously transmits video from one source while receiving and displaying video from another source
Adds video casting from, and slinging to, wireless portable devices (like aphone, tablet, or laptop)
Supports IP video streams as sources (like an IP camera or media server) without additional equipment or cost
Networks over Ethernet, coax or wireless infrastructures
All of this is accomplished through Miravue’s transceiver (transmitter and receiver) device. Miravue VIP system overview:
IP-based
Single small device for distribution and control
Adds new video sources and displays at no additional cost
Leverages existing infrastructure whether Ethernet, coax, or wireless
Works standalone or integrates with popular automation controllers for
video switching and source/display device control through its built-in IP, IR, and/or RS232 gateways
Provides GUI source select & mobile browser app (another industry first)
Easy setup with autodiscover
Low cost; buy only what you need (no forced 8×8 or 16×16 matrix)
