Middle Atlantic Powers AV Experience at InfoComm 2016

MAP_DisplayStation-0616Middle Atlantic Products today announced it will bring a robust roster of its power and AV system foundational products to InfoComm 2016, demonstrating the unique capabilities of its solutions for the commercial AV market in booth C9125, June 8-10, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

On Wednesday, June 8, at 9 a.m., Middle Atlantic president Mike Baker will introduce the company’s most comprehensive and innovative power solutions to date. The new solutions broaden the company’s portfolio of reliable power protection options that are designed specifically to address the unique requirements of AV, giving integrators the best options to fit virtually any price point, space requirement, and system capability.

“Throughout our history, Middle Atlantic has manufactured exceptional solutions that solve the unique challenges integrators face and are foundational to reliable integrated AV systems. We continue that rich tradition of product innovation at this year’s InfoComm,” said Baker. “Our latest power solutions are designed to meet the challenges unique to the commercial AV market, providing our customers with dependable, fully protected AV systems.”

Attendees will also see the latest advancements in Middle Atlantic’s offerings:

Rack Lighting

Improving the rack installation and servicing experience, Middle Atlantic will unveil its latest innovation for integrators: the Rackmount LED Work Light. Available in a single-light or dual-light model, the Rackmount LED Work Light is designed to answer the integrator’s need for critical visibility when working in darker spaces. It features flexible mounting and positioning capabilities to ensure premium illumination where the integrator needs it and ships with multiple power connectors for expanded international applications. Equally suitable for tall racks and cabinets, as well as furniture products, its low-profile design doesn’t get in the way of the installation or serviceability of the enclosure.

Device Mounting

Integrators are faced with many challenges during installation, sometimes overlooking best practices that keep all the components in the rack secure, cool, and powered. Middle Atlantic will show its full range of solutions designed to address the proliferation of small devices into the rack space. Middle Atlantic’s innovative Small Device Mounting Shelves are designed to mount small items while providing cable management, ventilation, and device tie-down points, addressing many of the obstacles integrators experience when integrating these devices into standard racks. Additionally, the company’s patent-pending Lever Lock internal management system facilitates cable management and device mounting within the rack through the use of tool-free bars and accessory mounting plates that can be placed in otherwise open areas of a rack — freeing up more space for traditional rackmount equipment. The CFR series cabinet frame rack offering was recently expanded with new sizes requested by integrators, fulfilling a need for more rack options that are designed and engineered to provide more rackspace within a low profile such as entertainment systems, cabinets, and similar spaces.

Carts and Stands

As monitoring systems proliferate across facilities of all sizes, Middle Atlantic has designed a full range of display carts and stand options to fit every environment. Comprised of mobile carts, stationary stands, and monitor walls of both varieties, the DisplayStation Series is Middle Atlantic’s latest addition to its carts and stands lineup. All DisplayStation Series models are economical options that feature built-in power and cable management to create a complete solution that is ideal for facilities needing simple systems. The FlexView Series is a collection of display stands and carts featuring a sleek design with storage capabilities. FlexView models can accommodate up to one 90-inch screen and feature a standard or electric lift as well as an easy-to-access internal Lever Lock system. With the VTC Series Video Cart, integrators have a high-capacity mobile cart that can support up to two 70-inch displays or one 90-inch display and can be ordered with an internal 12-space rack to house all the components to drive a more robust system.

InfoComm Debuts

At InfoComm 2016, Middle Atlantic is also debuting two new solutions: the UTB Series Universal TechBox™ and the Hub. Introduced at ISE 2016 the UTB Series Universal TechBox is a low-profile, unique solution for discreetly mounting AV equipment underneath a table surface within meeting spaces. It is ideal for mounting equipment such as the Crestron 3-Series® 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System 150 and other streaming solutions, as well as small devices, switchers, and interface accessories for audio, video, and/or HDMI®. Hub is a technology-ready, all-in-one furniture solution for collaboration spaces that is designed to maximize equipment and cable storage. Simple to order with a wide range of finishes, Hub is designed for easy integration and is ideal for smaller collaboration spaces in corporate environments and active learning classrooms.

InfoComm Rack Standard

As Middle Atlantic demonstrates the full capabilities of its latest power and infrastructure products at InfoComm 2016, the company has its eyes on the future. The company is presently lending its thought leadership in the development of InfoComm International’s newest standard, the Rack Building for Audiovisual Systems standard (INFOCOMM F502.01:2016). As an unprecedented standard in the industry, it will provide integrators with best practices for building quality AV rack systems. The standard is currently being developed by an international team of AV experts, including Middle Atlantic’s Tim Troast, director product management, and Jay Franetovich, CTS, application engineer/product manager. The new standard is expected to be ready for review and comment by Spring 2017.
