I am shocked and saddened this morning to learn of Mike’s death. I have known him over 20-years, in fact, he and I (along with John Fuchs and Jody Thomas) started what is now known as InfoComm IQ together. We worked very closely on this project and even though I knew him from his Video Images days back in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, working on AV Avenue (Now InfoComm IQ) we became close friends. He was in line to become InfoComm’s 2011 president and at the show two weeks ago in Orlando, we talked about his goals for the association and his enthusiasm for the job was clear.
Mike was a great man and I already miss his wisdom and sense of humor. My heart goes out to his family and his friends – especially InfoComm’s John Fuchs (his 10-year partner at Video Images).
