MetraAV is bringing two new HDMI extenders and a new audio extender to the 2021 CEDIA Expo, expanding its product line of AV distribution electronics. A new 4×4 matrix that includes extenders and has built-in compatibility features gives integrators a high-quality solution that is also budget-friendly. A new HDMI extender sends a 4K/30 signal up to 40 meters or up to 70 meters at 1080p over single Cat6 cable. For audio, MetraAV is also showcasing a new extender that supports analog, optical, and digital coax, providing a flexible solution for integrators.

4×4 HDMI 2.0 Matrix with Extenders
MetraAV’s new CS-44MEE provides video distribution without defaulting to the lowest resolution in the system, allowing legacy and new 4K technology to co-exist. This versatile 4×4 HDMI matrix not only includes four receivers for a cost-effective package but it can also downscale 4K to 1080p resolution for each output. It extends HDMI signals up to 70 meters (230 feet) and supports 4K/60, HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG, plus resolution scaling on the mirrored HDMI and Cat outputs. Additionally, this matrix is designed to solve HDMI compatibility issues between mixed hardware using advanced EDID and CEC control. This system is easy to set up and can be controlled from the front panel, via an IR remote, RS232, IP, or the web GUI.

HDMI Extender Over Single Cat6
The new CS-HDC6EXT4K extends 4K signal up to 40 meters and 1080p up to 70 meters over a single Cat6 cable for a cost-effective HDMI extender solution. For an easier installation, power is only required on a single side for the transmitter.

Analog and Digital Audio Extender
The CS-C5ADE extends audio signal up to 1,480 feet (450 meters) while supporting analog, optical, and digital coax formats. It gives installers more flexibility with one product that will work in a variety of AV systems. For an easier installation, power is only required for the transmitter and this system will support PCM 2.0 and Digital 5.1 audio to an RJ45 connector.
