Maxell (Formerly Hitachi) Intros Three 3LCD Laser Projectors

Maxell, Ltd. today announced the launch of three 3LCD laser projectors for the North American market. This new series of laser projectors — the first to be manufactured under the Maxell brand — includes the WUXGA (1920×1200) Maxell MP-WU5603, the WXGA (1280×800) MP-WX5603 (both 6,000 ANSI lumens) and the 5000 lumen, WUXGA 1920×1200 MP-WU5503.

These laser-light-source projectors offer 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, and up to 50,000 hours when using “Long Life” mode. And, Maxell is aiming the projectors for use in auditoriums, lecture halls, classrooms, conference rooms, museums and other large venues. This new series of projectors is the first projector series to be introduced in the United States and Canada under the Maxell brand name. All of them include a 1.4 to 2.4 : 1 throw lens.

Maxell’s Cloning Function allows users to copy setting data from one projector to other projectors of the same model and the MP-WU5503, MP-WU5603 and MP-WX5603 also feature lens shift, picture by picture, picture in picture, a DICOM Simulation Mode and 360° rotation. Additionally, secure embedded networking gives customers the ability to manage and control multiple projectors from one centralized location to schedule events, transfer images and create email alerts, as well as to receive centralized reporting and conduct routine maintenance. Finally, inputs include HDBaseT, HDMI, Maxell’s Projector Quick Connection app for mobile devices or using an optional USBWL5G wireless adapter.
