Matrox is shipping its Matrox D-Series D1450 multi-display graphics card; a single-slot, quad-4K HDMI graphics card enables OEMs and system integrators to combine multiple D1450 boards for video walls of up 16 synchronized 4K displays. In addition, D1450 offers HDCP support to display copy-protected content and Microsoft DirectX 12 and OpenGL support to run all professional applications.

D-Series cards work with Matrox’s video wall portfolio. You can pair the D1450 with Matrox Mura IPX capture cards to add HDCP functionality to capture and display content-protected sources — including set-top boxes, Blu-ray Disc and media players, as well as video game consoles. D-Series can also be combined with Matrox QuadHead2Go multi-monitor controllers to create large-scale configurations of up to 64 x 1920×1080@60Hz screens.

D-Series includes the Matrox PowerDesk desktop management software. Users can select from various tools — including stretched or independent desktops, clone mode, pivot, bezel management, edge overlap and more— to configure and customize multi-display setups. The Matrox MuraControl video wall management software provides users with a platform to manage video wall sources and layouts either locally or remotely, and in real-time. Matrox video wall APIs, SDKs and libraries are also available for developers and AV installers interested in creating custom control functions and applications.
