Marshall Unveils Camera Controller That Supports Both Serial and IP Devices
Marshall Electronics has introduced the RCP Plus, a new camera controller designed to manage both Serial and IP-based cameras simultaneously, targeting the needs of both the broadcast and ProAV markets.
The RCP Plus supports Visca-over-IP via Ethernet and traditional RS485 control, allowing operators to connect and manage mixed camera setups. Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability eliminates the need for a wall-mounted power supply, simplifying installation.
The unit includes a breakout adapter that converts XLR connections to screw terminal (Phoenix-type) connectors, offering easier setup without the need for soldering or specialized wiring tools. A USB port allows for firmware updates, and an optional rack ear is available for mounting.
