Magewell Releases Four New Products Aimed at Streaming in Both Installs and Live Events

Magewell introduced additions to its USB Capture and Pro Convert product lines. The Modator family brings new low-latency encoders and decoders to a modular, rackmount enclosure. Designed for permanent installations where hot-swap and redundant power are required, the Modator Ultra Encode SDI Plus Module features 4Kp30 encoding capabilities that enable simultaneous multi-protocol streaming and file-based recording onto built-in storage on the module.
Here’s a video we shot of this at ISE 2025:
The USB Capture SDI 4K Pro laptops and desktop computers can capture SDI signals of up to 4096×2160 (including 3840×2160 Ultra HD) at 60fps with 4:2:2 chroma. With on-board FPGA processing and leveraging the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface, it’s designed as a solution for applications such as streaming, videoconferencing, live production, presentations and more.
The new Pro Convert IP to USB enables computers, including laptops, to capture an NDI, NDI HX or streaming source through a USB interface with no additional power source required. It is designed for use in conference rooms, production studios, and in environments where users’ software does not natively support NDI or other IP protocols and/or the installation of additional software is not permitted.
Finally Director One has a built-in 4G modem and dedicated 4G and Wi-Fi antennas to keep users connected for uninterrupted streaming and control. Director One combines multi-input switching, graphics, streaming, recording, and monitoring all in one device with a 7″, 800 nit AMOLED display.
