Magewell says it continues to expand and improve the capabilities of the Director Mini all-in-one production and streaming solution and Version 2.3.571 firmware for Director Mini is now available. The company say major new features include the ability to configure the USB-C port for UVC/UAC output for bringing the Director Mini output into software for video conferencing, production, H.265 (HEVC) encoding for live streaming and recording; interface enhancements in both the touchscreen UI and browser-based web UI; remote zoom and focus control for smartphone inputs; and configurable shortcuts for external control surfaces such as keyboards and X-Keys.

Magewell says all of these enhancements are in addition to major new features added in the previous firmware release, including expansion of Director Mini’s NDI HX3 capabilities (now supporting three simultaneous NDI HX3 inputs, and two NDI HX3 outputs) as well as ISO recording.
