Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. has acquired Orluna LED Technologies Limited, a UK-based manufacturer of architectural lighting fixtures. The move marks Lutron’s first acquisition outside of North America.

Founded in 2010, Orluna designs and manufactures downlights, uplights, surface fixtures and track lighting used primarily in luxury residential and hospitality environments. The company has operations in Hertfordshire and serves customers in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.

“Orluna’s broad and elegant fixture portfolio, combined with Lutron solutions, will raise the bar for quality and design,” said Ben Bard, vice president of Lutron’s luxury residential business.

Orluna will continue to operate from its UK headquarters, and its products will remain available through existing regional channels. Orluna products are not currently sold in North America.

The acquisition strengthens Lutron’s global market position and aligns with its long-term strategy to expand in the luxury lighting, shading, and controls sectors.
