Lumagen Debuts 8K Video Processor with New ArtisaN
Lumagen announced the ArtisaN 8K video processor supporting up to 8K60 and 4K120 inputs and outputs including HDCP 2.3, HDR10 and HLG compatibility along with Dolby LLDV sources. With eight inputs and two outputs, the ArtisaN includes something called Dynamic Tone Mapping (DTM) which analyzes multiple regions of every frame of content, detects scene changes and optimizes the image for each frame of content. The ArtisaN builds upon the foundation of the Lumagen Radiance Pro series and, according to the company, includes proprietary circuitry to reduce HDMI output clock jitter.
Using FPGA technology, the ArtisaN can add hardware image processing and setup features years after installation to incorporate new features as technologies evolve. Available in 2025, the ArtisaN will be $12,995.
