Three years ago, a few team members and I decided to create the StreamGeeks. As camera experts, our goal was to use engaging technical content to educate and empower end users about livestreaming and video production technologies. What began as a fun, quasi experiment turned into a movement that has attracted thousands of followers on our social media channels from around the world. The StreamGeeks community is composed of video production experts and others dedicated to showcasing the power of livestreaming and motivating marketers and business owners who refuse to settle for mediocrity.

To celebrate the community we’ve built and inspired, we’re hosting our second annual StreamGeeks Summit Friday, Dec. 11. Last year we went out big, hosting our first event in New York City at the Dream Downtown hotel. We brought together technology leaders from both the ProAV and livestreaming communities to create a full day of education and networking. This year, as the pandemic has forced all of us to pivot to virtual events, we’re going to further demonstrate how to best engage audiences online with livestreaming video content.

The StreamGeeks Summit will include panel discussions to explore the business opportunities that livestreaming brings, helping both amateurs and professionals looking to broaden their industry knowledge. Many consumers around the world agree that live video content is the most authentic way to connect with audiences online. With Facebook, YouTube, Amazon, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn all offering live streaming on their platforms, implications for online video are wide-reaching. It’s no longer an experiment. Livestreaming is a revolution that’s here to stay.

The StreamGeeks Summit’s keynote speaker will be Luria Petrucci, owner at Live Streaming Pros. Petrucci’s address, entitled “Live Streaming & Your Business,” will highlight how creators and any online business can make money in the world of livestreaming, why now is the time to take action and how to thrive in a changed world. To maintain our event’s focus on fun and engage our ProAV technical junkies, we have hired Atom Worth to be this year’s live entertainment. Worth is a Visual DJ who will combine ’80s retro music with a visual livestreaming display during an interactive Twitch Raid.

Attendees can register for a free General Admission ticket with access to the livestream or purchase a ticketed pass with access to a Zoom Room for collaboration with the Summit’s speakers and networking with attendees and industry leaders.

Now is the time to hone your technical skills and recognize the opportunities that exist within the realm of live streaming. We hope to see you there!
